Fred Casinelli is the President of Sysco Boston LLC.
Fred Casinelli is a 31 year veteran of Sysco. He began his career as a Produce Marketing Specialist here at Sysco Boston (F/K/A Hallsmith Sysco Food Services) and eventually became Manager of that Department. In 1995, Sysco Boston was growing so fast that it had outgrown its facility. The first Sysco Fold-Out was created at this time. The new company, Sysco Food Services of Connecticut, was established in Rocky Hill and quite a bit of Sysco Boston’s business was transferred there. Fred was promoted to VP of Merchandising at this new facility. In 1999, he was promoted to VP of Sales and two year later, to Senior VP of Sales. In 2004, Sysco Philadelphia offered him the position of Executive Vice President and he accepted.
In October of 2006, it was a pleasure to welcome Fred back to his roots at Sysco Boston as our Executive Vice President. In September 2009, when Thaire Bryant announced his December retirement, Fred was appointed the fifth President of Sysco Boston.
Fred is on the Board of Directors at the Old Colony Y in Brockton, MA, and the Board of Directors at Newbury College in Boston, MA. Fred enjoys flying, golfing and bicycle riding. He is a 4 time participant in the Pan-Mass Challenge, which is a 200 mile bike-a-thon that raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA.
Fred was born in Arpino, Italy and raised in Newton, MA. He speaks fluent Italian and is very proud of his heritage. He and his wife, Patricia, have three grown children, two sons and a daughter, and four grandchildren.
